About fifteen percent of every Zonzo wedding is photographed on film. Not as a gimmick, not as a finish — but as a slower way of looking. Film cannot be reviewed on a screen. It cannot be deleted, brightened, second-guessed in the moment. It demands that the photographer trust the room they are in, the light they have, the moment unfolding.
The studio works almost entirely on Kodak Portra 400 for colour and on Ilford HP5 or Kodak Tri-X for black and white. Rolls are hand-developed at a small lab in Pescara the studio has used for six years. Scans are matched to the digital frames in tone and contrast, so that the two stocks live together in one final book.
Film is offered as an integrated layer in every commission, not as an upcharge. It is also available as a stand-alone service for editorial and travel projects across Italy.
Included. Every wedding receives a film coverage layer, integrated with the digital edit.
Portra 400 for daylight colour, Portra 800 in low light, HP5 and Tri-X for black and white.
Yes. Negatives are archived for ten years and can be re-scanned at any time.
It can. A film-only commission is quieter and more selective; the gallery is smaller and the wait is longer.
