We met Sole and Valerio halfway on our trip around Normandy.
Full of inspiration, we were looking forward to portray them surrounded by those romantic and Decadent landscapes. Emotions were high: we were about to work in places that inspired and were home to some of our most favourite artists.
During those days, we capitalized on everything we came across, from the forever grey sky to the mist in the old alleys of Rouen.
It still seems we can hear the echo of the sea breaking against the rocks or the sound of the wind messing Sole’s scarf up.
Etretat and Rouen are among Monet’s most favourite places. Indeed, you can see them captured in many of his paintings.
The whole Albâtre coast, from Le Tréport to Etretat, has been both coveted destination or homeland of many artists from the XIX century. The streets of the marine towns take you back to that golden age and are often named after an artist or a prestigious piece of work. Among them, Veule les Roses is a place definitely worths going.
