We’re happy to give you Sophie and Jay, a lovely English couple that chose a timeless Abbey in the heart of Italy to gather friends and families, to celebrate their love, and to mix Indian, British and Italian Heritage.
The San Pietro in Valle Monastery welcomed the spouses and their families within its millenary walls. They enjoyed all the available spaces: from getting ready in the splendid rooms to the religious ceremony, officiated by the uncle of the bride, in the ancient church, until the party inside the cloister in a magical atmosphere.
It was fun to see how the solemnity of the location gradually gave way to the joy and conviviality of this wedding!
Every detail and moment thrilled us: The laughter of the girls playing hide and seek, the toasts and jokes of friends and relatives during the speeches, the crazy dance moves when the party started.
A story we want to share with you and that we feel honored to have been able to tell!
How about a wedding in Umbria?
The venue of the wedding, San Pietro in Valle

Also known as the heart of Italy

Umbria is also known as “the land of saints,” “la terra dei Santi,” as the famous Saint Francis, Benedict, and Chiara were born there. Towns, cities, and even the countryside are scattered with churches, chapels, and abbeys, providing a unique and spiritual environment (by the way, if you’re into ancient and small chapels, please take a look to this wedding
