Imagine a tiny castle on a small island, a calm river streaming all around, and ducks swimming in the autumn palette’s reflections on the water.
Enchanting is the right word to get close to the atmosphere we found at the Slot Moermond, the Renesse’s castle in Zeeland.
This was our first Wedding in the Netherlands, and we felt amazed. A grey sky should not necessarily be a sad sky! We took advantage of the soft autumn light that valorized the warm colors of the outdoors, and once inside it was even better.
We just couldn’t believe how the pale sun rays gently touched everything, like in an old Flemish painting.
At that time we had already developed our own aesthetic in the relationship between lights and shadows, but this wedding in the Netherlands was certainly an important step on our path, giving us one of the most beautiful atmospheres ever.
